GUSTAV STRESEMANN
this man was a chancellor for the Weimar republic in Germany for brief time. also won the Nobel peace prize in 1926.
Born may 10th 1878 and passed away on Oct 3rd 1929.

FIVE YEAR PLAN
this was a plan to take Russia's economy from dirt poor to wealthy. what should have taken him a 150 years complete he did in 5 at the cost of many human life's through starvation and death.

GULAGS
these where camps similer to Nazis death camps but for labor and for criminals, also anybody who challenged the soviet ideal and communism.

KOLKHOZ
this was the form of collective farms within the soviet union. this is where they mass produced food and starvation also happened in these areas.

KULAK
after 1918 it was used as slander to farmers who resisted giving their grain to the state.

COMMAND ECONOMY
is when the government determines where the money and goods go without a free market present at all in the area.

COLLECTIVIZATION
this was formed by Stalin and was when individual lands where put together as one to form labor, they where to increase their food production to feed urban like cities. 

TREATY OF RAPALLO
was a treaty signed by Russia and Germany to stop the war for them in order to fix Russia, this lead to Russia getting out of the war.

GUNS OF BUTTER
an idea that  increase in another is a decrease in another.

NEW ECONOMIC POLICY
this was a new economic policy made by Lenin to from a better economy for soviet Russia.

COMINTERN
this was the name for the plan to form an in International communist uprising even if it was armed and against the army. but this never came to be as Stalin stopped it to focus in his own nation. 

REDS/WHITES
the reds where the ones who fought for communism and the whites fought for a democratic government and failed to do so.

ALLIED INTERVENTION
this is when the allied powers of WW1 wanted to come in to stop the communist from wining the civil war in fear it might spread. but failed in only supplying the whites with weapons and supplies.

WAR COMMUNISM 
1918 to 1921 was to keep towns stocked with food and guns because of the economy and the civil war. it ended in 1921 with the new economic policy 

THE RUSSIAN CIVIL WAR
1917 to 1922. was the war between the whites and the reds over power for Russia. the reds won and formed soviet Russia.

GENERAL KORNILOV
born august 18th 1870 and passed away on April 13th 1918. was a military leader for the provincial government against Lenin.  

TREATY OF BREST-LITOVSK
after six months of talks they signed this treaty which got soviet Russia out of the war.

SOVIET
was a term used and adopted by the Russian's and the world for their communist ideals and way of life.
